SHAVING

シェービング加工

In conventional press blanking, die clearance produces both a burnished zone and a fracture zone along the cut edge. Our press shaving process can produce an edge with a fully burnished surface and virtually no fracture zone. Components that previously required secondary machining can therefore be completed entirely within the press process, reducing production costs and lead times. In cold forging, fracture zones can initiate cracking during forming and may require annealing. Shaved components have a fully burnished edge, making forming without annealing possible for applicable parts.
